The Luxembourg Income Study grants access to LISSY under the two following conditions:
- The user must be a researcher working for an academic, government or non-profit organization.
- The use of the micro-data is restricted to Social Science research purposes only. No private or commercial use is permitted.
Ideally, LIS would be free to all researchers. However the Countries providing financial support to LIS have decided that we must enforce a set of fee structure rules to ensure the future financial stability of the project. Please carefully read the LIS pledge (page 2) to determine your status.
Initial Registration process
Researchers must download a pledge from the LIS website, which states the rules governing the use of the micro-data. The completed form must be signed and sent to the Luxembourg Income Study via fax (+352 26 00 30 30) or by regular mail addressed to:
Caroline de Tombeur
Luxembourg Income Study A.s.b.l
17, rue des Pommiers
L-2343 Luxembourg
Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
Once registered, a LIS user receives an account (userid and password) to access LISSY. The account is strictly personal and must not be shared with anyone.
While registering, researchers must provide an email address. LISSY will only return output resulting from the user requests to this registered email. Note that, upon request, the registered email address can be updated.
Renewing Access
The Luxembourg Income Study grants access to the micro-databases for a limited period of one year, renewable annually.
Once the initial pledge has been signed and sent to the Luxembourg Income Study, renewal can be completed by annually updating information through the LIS website
