Luxembourg's international airport, called Findel, is situated some 5 km (3.5 miles) north-east of the Capital. While there is (as yet) no train connection into the city, there are, however, a number of ways to get from the airport to the city.

Tariff: 2,47 € pick-up charge, 1,02 € per km, 2,03 € per km (return trip included), waiting 0,33 € per minute. Night-tariff: + 10-35 %.

(Note: You may also take a taxi directly to LIS offices (rue des Pommiers, 17) - journey time ± 10-15 minutes)

Busses:  No. 9 and No. 16 (Eurobus) leave regularly (at intervals of 15-20 minutes) for the City Centre and the Railway station from a platform some 50 paces away from the airport building. Journey time ± 25 minutes. Cost: 1.50 EUR.
 

You may take bus #14 at the train station (quai 1), at Place de Paris (quai 2), at Hamilius/Center (quai 8).
Stop on request at "Fort Dumoulin",  right after "L'Institut National des Sports". The ride takes no more than 15 minutes. When you exit, follow the road to your right (rue des Pommiers) and we are about 200 meters from the stop.

From the center by car, head towards the American Military Cemetery on Boulevard General Patton, which becomes Val de Hamm. You will see two gas stations on your right and then you will begin ascending. Turn left at the next traffic light (sign indicates Cents). Cross the railroad tracks and turn left on "rue des Pommiers".

From the E44, (Highway Brussels-Trier):

- Take exit Number 7 (Luxembourg-Gare, Sandweiler, Remich), (stay to your left if coming from the direction of Brussels) and go through the traffic circle (roundabout)

- follow the signs for Luxembourg

- after 1 km, at the traffic light, turn right, cross the railroad tracks and turn left on "rue des Pommiers".
